About this Blog

FacultyLeaks.com is an anonymous dispatch from deep inside higher education. The author is a tenured faculty member and department chair at a university that shall remain unnamed. Some identifying details have been changed. The dysfunction has not.

This blog reveals what rarely makes it into The Chronicle of Higher Education, faculty senate minutes, or official press releases: travel reimbursement abuse, failed and rigged hiring searches, the protection of mediocrity, union grievances weaponized against accountability, runaway administrative bloat, the slow credentialing of incompetence, and the many ways universities reward the appearance of scholarship over the real thing.

Also: the sex stuff. Because there’s always sex stuff.

Subscribe if you work in higher ed and recognize the stories all too well.

Subscribe if you (or your kids) pay tuition and want to know where the money actually goes.

Subscribe if you’ve ever wondered why institutions that endlessly preach “excellence” seem allergic to enforcing any real standards.

New dispatches drop whenever campus life provides fresh material — which, sadly, is often. Every post lands straight in your inbox.
